Meet Queen Things No. 5. She walked in wearing a braided gold rope hat, three shiny ornaments, a statement collar and a mantle that says “yes, I’m the main character.” The paint is dripping, the stare is steady, and she has no notes for you.

Behind her, a wall of gold, tan and slate-blue diamonds frames her like she’s holding court. On metal, the colors glow, the golds gleam and the whole look comes through sharp and shiny.

At 16x16 she’s compact but still the center of attention. Put her on a bookshelf wall, in a hallway, over a desk or in a gallery cluster. Wherever she lands, she takes over the room.
