This week's design inspiration is for our design "Queen Things No. 5". This design features mixed media and pattern mixing created by myself. First I'll discuss the mixed media piece which features an inspired almost wheat paste of Eartha Kitt who is a perennial inspiration for me personally and professionally. This particular image is where you can see the sadness in her eyes but I wanted to add a crown she's wearing to imply the old adage, "Heavy is the head who wears the crown".
The pattern mixing is derived from several images I captured around Atlanta to form a perfect backdrop for Urban Royalty. Queen Things No. 5 Woven Blanket
