3 Piece Household Recipes: Bug Repellent

3 Piece Household Recipes: Bug Repellent

When my family goes out during the summer, mosquitoes run rampant. We light incense and have bug zappers, but they still come out. We don't like the smell of citronella, and bug spray smells like chemicals and sometimes burns our skin. So I researched to find a bug spray I could make to help deter them from us more.

Bug Spray Recipe:

  • 4 oz Distilled Water
  • 4 oz Witch Hazel
  • 2ml Essential Oil Mix
  1. Take a Mist Spray Bottle
  2. Add Distilled Water 1st, Witch Hazel, and Essential Oil mix.
  3. Shake up the bottle and then spray

I use the 3 Piece scent Buggin for my essential oil mix because it is good to keep the bugs away. I have also tried the Buggin scent with tea tree oil to make it even more bug-repellent. It has worked either way.

We also use it for our guests when we are grilling out. I have used it for when someone has gotten bitten already, and it takes away the burn/itch as well. So you can use it as a preventative or afterward as well.

I hope your family can enjoy this recipe as my family has.
